Our series of visits to land stewardship farms continues this month! Next Saturday, November 23, we’ll visit Parella Vella, a 12-hectare family farm in Ciutadella with a rich tradition that has embraced a diversified, organic production model.
Brothers Isaac and Daniel Bosch Llorens returned to Parella Vella to revitalize its farming activities, promoting a model rooted in sustainability. During the visit, we’ll explore their agropastoral management approach and enjoy a tasting of their locally produced items.
The excursion will take place in the morning, with a total cost of €12, covering the guide, tasting, and bus transport. Spots are limited, so be sure to sign up in advance through this link.
Our route covers approximately 5 kilometers of flat coastal paths. Once on the farm, we’ll tour different cultivation and grazing areas, seeing firsthand the organic practices applied. We’ll end the visit with a tasting of Parella Vella’s products, along with other items from Custòdia Agrària farms. The bus will return to the meeting point around 1:30 p.m.
Parella Vella stands out for its organic production of fruits, vegetables, and greens. The Bosch Llorens brothers have adopted a diversified model that also includes extensive livestock farming. They participate in local markets and offer weekly product baskets delivered to households, collaborating with other farms as part of the Agrarian Custody program.
This program supports agricultural initiatives that promote a model based on environmental sustainability. Discover more about this initiative in the introductory video featured below, and if you’re interested in learning more about the program’s impact, take a look at our impact video series.
