Beppe di Cuzzo (Bergamo, Italy) spent 8 months in GOB Menorca as part of the project “Autochthonous Gardening on the island of Menorca” (2016-3-ES02-KA105-008702). He took an active roll in the Indigenous Plants Garden of GOB Menorca; Es Viver. This green space created by GOB based principally in the sphere of sustainable gardening, encouraging the use of indigenous plants which require little maintenance cost and little water consumption. There, he learnt multiple tasks regarding gardening and botanical issues such soil recycling process, transplantations, seedbeds techniques and care of the organic certified plants grown in the garden. Moreover he gave strong support to the installation maintenance and to the green filters construction.
He also collaborated in the Wild Animals Rescue Centre once a week where he carry on the main activities of animals care such as feeding, cleaning, nursing and helping with the construction of new tortoise’s terrarium. Beppe also help painting and restoring part of the headquarter of the organization, which is a Windmill from 18th century.
