On Sunday 22 is the return of the talayotic excursions that are organised jointly by the Department of Culture of the Consell Insular and GOB in order to unite the discovery of places on the island with scientific information on the Talayotic world.
On this occasion, the visit will be to the site of Es Castellàs in Caparrot de Forma that has a large defence wall for seclusion by a coastal isthmus and where there are the remains of rooms. Attached to it, also, is a set of caves for funerary uses.
The excursion will follow country lanes and the Camí de Cavalls. It is not necessary to book, but people should go directly to the meeting point for 9.30 am. This will be in the urbanisation at the top of Calescoves. We will leave at 10 am. The walk is of basic difficulty. The sites will be visited with an archaeologist. There will be a bus to return to the car park (3 euros). It is expected to end at 13.30 hours.
Let us encourage walking!
