The talks and debates (in Catalan), Menorca Adrift, continue their peregrination through the towns of the island. Next week they will be offered in three places.
On Monday 11 December at the Cultural Centre of Es Castell (C/St Ignasi, 2) at 19.30.
On Tuesday 12 December at ca n’Angel in es Mercadal (C/Major, 2) at 19.30.
On Wednesday 13 December in Ciutadella, in the salon of Sant Josep, Santa Clara road, at 19.30.
These talks will show official data and the trends of subjects such as tourist overcrowding, the problem of water, the arrival of people with high purchasing power, the economic evolution, the energy challenges, homelessness and various other subjects.
After the talks, the proceedings will be thrown open to the public to debate and analyse the problems and find possible ways for Menorca to be able to maintain and recover those differential values that have been threatened recently.
This is a good opportunity for everyone to understand what each can do to help retrieve the island’s sense of direction.
