The third round table discussion on projects that are eligible for the European Next Generation funding will be on Menorcan countryside projects. It will take place on Thursday 17 February at 20h at the Mahon Ateneu and can also be followed on your canal youtube
Three projects will be presented by people linked to them and then it will be opened for debate by those attending. The projects are Sa Granja, presented by Josep Pastrana, CIMe adviser on Economy and Land, Menorlac, cheese industry, with Joan Armengol and Focus Agri with Miquel Camps from GOB Menorca.
There are significant problems in the rural world and, at the same time, large opportunities. Economically viable and environmentally sustainable management depends on achieving agricultural food resources that enable a greater supremacy for the island’s food and its distinctive gastronomy. Opportunities also depend on Menorca’s landscape, its biodiversity, its ecosystems and its ethnological heritage.
This cycle of round table discussions is organised by the Ateneu of Mahon and GOB with the collaboration of Menorca Preservation. It focuses on presenting and discussing projects that aim for aid from Next Generation. Further sessions will be on Thursdays, 24 February and 3 March.
