The Cova des Coloms is one of the largest caves on the island

Sunday 1 March, excursion to Cova des Coloms

Visits: 226

(This excursion is a reorganization of the one cancelled due to rain on 1 February). The Cova des Coloms will be visited with an explanation of the restoration works that have been made to eliminate paint affecting the walls of one of the largest caves on the island.

The itinerary will be in a beautiful landscape. No reservation is needed but people should go direct to the meeting place at 9.30 am at the Church of Es Migjorn Gran. We will leave at 10 am.

It is of medium difficulty. It will not be a long way but there are natural steps to negotiate. There will be a bus to return to the meeting place. It will end about 13.30.

It is recommended that cars are shared with friends in order to reduce emissions.

This excursion is to mark the Fiesta of the Balearic Islands.

The cycle “Are we Talayotic?” is a programme organised by the Department of Culture of the Island Government in conjunction with GOB.
