The Recuperation Centre for Wildlife is open to visitors this summer until 12 September. Despite the strange summer that we are living through, the animal hospital has had a good number of visitors so that we have extended the weeks for visiting to more than had been originally organised. We are open from Mondays to Saturdays from 18.00 hours.

The visit is guided and in addition, there are panels that explain the characteristics of the animals and their problems. The tour is divided into areas of enclosures where there are tortoises, ponds for exotic turtles, ponds for toad recovery and different spaces where you can see hawks, kites, Egyptian vultures, kestrels and barn owls… These birds have suffered severe wounds and are not able to survive in freedom, so they live in the Centre permanently and help us with the important work of increasing awareness for the environment. It is an opportunity for getting close to the typical wild animals of Menorca and, above all, to understand what are the problems and what actions can be taken to preserve this heritage. You can help the Wildlife Recuperation Centre for Wild Animals by sponsoring one of the animals. (https://aporta.gobmenorca.com/)

The Animal Hospital is within the Lithica Quarry. (https://lithica.es/) The visit also includes the possibility of enjoying this marvelous recuperated quarry. The entrance prices are: free for children to the age of 12, for people older than 65 the cost is 4 euros and everyone else is 8 euros. There is also a discount for residents: free up to 12 years old, 3 euros for over 65 year olds, and everyone else 6 euros. The entrance to the Lithica Quarry is on the Camí Vell of Ciutadella, km 1

Your visit will help make our work better. We look forward to seeing you!
