Training for Volunteers of the Animals Hospital

A year on and the volunteers of the Centre for the Recuperation of Wild Animals have had some training on the handling and the first assistance to give to wild animals suffering from an accident. The volunteers are essential to the day to day running of the Centre. Thanks to their commitment and altruistic dedication of the individual volunteers the Centre helps more than 1000 animals a year. Friday 9 February, action in front of the Consell Insular concerning the main road

GOB is calling for a meeting in front of the Consell Insular to discuss various aspects about the main road. The meeting will be on Friday 9 February at 11 am in the Plaça Biosfera in Mahon. Sunday 19 November, a walk to Calescoves

The Consell Insular and GOB have organised an excursion on foot for Sunday 19 November. It will go by different paths to Calescoves and area of great landscape beauty, where there is a talayotic necropolis composed of more than ninety caves and underground burial vaults excavated in the cliffs of the cove; a jetty also dating from the prehistoric time; a coastal establishment defined by a prehistoric wall; and a Roman shrine.
