A general meeting of GOB Menorca members on 21 December, approved the resumé of activities of 2016, the budget for 2017, and the composition of the new Board of Directors. This next year will be the 40th anniversary of the creation of GOB Menorca, and it will be marked by a series of activities and celebrations. The draft of a law being drawn up by the Directorate General for Agriculture of the Balearic Government to give exemptions on conditions for buildings and agricultural facilities includes parts which appear unacceptable. At least 21 birds electrocuted recently in Menorca

4 red kites, 1 booted eagle, 4 kestrels, 2 barn owls, 5 ravens, 3 gulls and 2 unidentified birds make the list of birds electrocuted during 2015 and 2016 and which, at the moment, is on the record of the Council for the Environment of the Balearic Government, the ministry responsible for the protection of endangered species.
