The draft of a law being drawn up by the Directorate General for Agriculture of the Balearic Government to give exemptions on conditions for buildings and agricultural facilities includes parts which appear unacceptable. This Sunday we will celebrate 5 years of AgroMaó with Swing!

On Sunday 24 April, GOB is organizing a concert with the Swing Crusaders group and a demonstration of Lindy Hop Dancing at 12 noon in the Plaza Real of Mahon. It is to celebrate 5 years of the AgroMaó market which promotes products from ecologically sustainable farms that maintain the countryside and biodiversity of Menorca and are a part of the Agricultural Land Stewardship Scheme. Maria Tudurí, pioneer woman farming in Menorca

The usual perception of farmers is of strong males working in all weathers with long hours. Maria Tuduri Sintes is the only woman who farms her own farm in Menorca. Of course, there are wives of farmers who help on their farms, but Maria rents 95 hectares which she farms alone using ecologically sustainable methods.
