On Sunday 13 March coinciding with the Day of Indigenous Species, some twenty volunteers helped remove exotic succulents at Es Capell de Ferro farm. These plants were grown for many years near houses for decorative purposes and, with time, they have spread invading other species and the vegetation of the area.

Last Sunday was a perfect day for an excursion organised as part of the Sant Antoni festival by the Department of Culture of the Island Council in conjunction with GOB. Sunday 10 January, walking from Cala en Porter to the megalithic tomb of Ses Roques Lises, considered the most ancient construction in Menorca and one of the best conserved in the Balearics. The walk will also visit Na Comerma de Sa Garita. This is organized in conjuction with the Cultural Department of the Consell Insular, to mark the start of the Sant Antoni festivities. On 21 December, 2015, a general meeting of the members of GOB approved the summary of its activities carried out during 2015, the budget for 2016, the composition of the new board, and unanimously re-elected Jaume Obrador as its President.

Today is the start of the campaign “29th November, A Menorca March about Climate Change. To coincide with Paris”. It begins with a talk by Benjamin Carreras “Global Warming and the Health of the Planet” at 8 pm in the “Circulo Artistico” of Ciutadella. There was a good response from the public for a walk organised by GOB on a sunny Sunday on 4 October to visit a restored water cistern.
120 people gathered at the meeting place, at the entrance of Son Bou. The walk started along the Cami de Cavalls going through the urbanization towards the countryside along Torre-soli and soon turning off for the private road of Daia Vell, which on Sunday was opened for us.
