Saturday 3 October, visit to the Binitord Winery

On the occasion of Week II of the Balearic Islands Land Care scheme, GOB has organized a guided visit to the Binitord Winery at Ciutadella. It will be on Saturday 3 October. The vineyards and the winery will be visited. There will be an explanation of the type of management carried out and there will be a wine tasting. The Recuperation Centre for Wildlife is open to visitors this summer until 12 September. Despite the strange summer that we are living through, the animal hospital has had a good number of visitors so that we have extended the weeks for visiting to more than had been originally organised. Saturday 6 June, a workshop on how to deal with kitchen garden problems

This Saturday, 6 June at 10.00 am, we will be having a workshop at Es Viver the GOB garden centre. Now is the time to have the kitchen garden planted out for the summer, although there is still time if this has not yet been done. The workshop will consider anticipating and dealing with management problems such as how to prevent and deal with pests and diseases without chemicals. Report on the Animal Hospital during 2019

The Wildlife Recuperation Centre of Menorca during 2019 cared for 1,337 animals from 65 different species. More than 1,300 people visited it, including students from 12 different educational centres, groups for family workshops, and general visitors. There is an upward trend for animals requiring assistance, of which 36% have been able to be released back into the wild. Here you can find  the entire record of the year. Make your own nettle purine

This Saturday, 7 March at 10 am, there will be a workshop at Es Viver of GOB to explain how to make a good nettle purine, a remedy for strengthening garden plants. Nettle plants, with waste from the kitchen and garden provide resources for making ecological compost for strengthening plant cultivation or preventing and curing diseases in them.
