The Island Council and GOB are organising an excursion by foot for Sunday 23 October. It will be to visit the necropolis of Cala Morell, where it is possible to see the excavation of a set of 14 burial caves.
Places are limited, and application will be closed once the maximum number is reached. You can register here.
The excursion will go along coastal paths of beautiful countryside. We will have the explanations of an archaeologist. The walk is of medium/low difficulty. The return to the meeting point will be by bus (3 euros). You will be able to see the information on times and meeting place when you register.
We take this opportunity to let you know that some days beforehand, there is a talk which will be linked to the excursion. It will deal with the theme of death both in prehistoric times and now, given by the archaeologist María José León. It is not necessary to register for the conference. It will be on Thursday 20 October at 8 pm at the Casa de Cultura in Ciutadella.
Are We Talayotic? Living in Menorca now and in prehistoric times is a programme organised jointly by the Department of Culture of the Island Council and GOB.
