Via Menorca calls on the ants to leave the anthill and defend the island from pressure and threats. A campaign T-shirt has been produced.

We would like to remind everyone that the rally will take place on Saturday 13 June in front of the Menorca Island Council, at Plaça Biosfera, at 7.30 pm.

Buying the T-shirt and starting to wear it is also a way of supporting the rally, which aims to raise its voice so that Menorca does not continue down the same path as the neighbouring islands.

The ant is the image chosen for this campaign, because they depend on one another to survive and, when they encounter danger, they face it together.

The disproportionate increase in the number of tourists over the last decade is crushing key aspects of the island. Aquifers are being depleted, spaces are becoming overcrowded and housing is no longer affordable for the resident population.

The campaign design and the T-shirt are a collaboration by designer and Via Menorca member Rita Pons.

The T-shirts cost 15 euros and are currently available at Molí del Rei in Maó, at the Claustre del Carme shop or by sending an email to botiga@gobmenorca.com.
