New hopes for the agricultural sector

There are numerous successful initiatives around us that demonstrate how economic viability and environmental conservation can go hand in hand in agriculture.

From farming models that adapt to harsh climatic conditions, livestock management strategies that improve yields and restore soil fertility, to natural pest control systems and innovative marketing strategies, there is much to learn and share.

The Agriculture and Environment Seminar, part of the Agrarian Stewardship Program, celebrates its 18th edition this year. Its main goal is to showcase inspiring case studies that provide solutions to the current challenges facing agriculture.

Saturday, February 1: two experts to open the seminar

The first session of the Agriculture and Environment Seminar will take place this Saturday, February 1, featuring two distinguished speakers with expertise in the agricultural sector.

  • The first is the Director of the Global Nature Foundation, an organization with a long-standing reputation for leading European projects in agriculture. He will share insights from his extensive experience, including the AgriAdapt initiative, which aims to mitigate climate change risks.
  • The second speaker has demonstrated how near-desert areas can be made productive by effectively channeling rainwater into farmland. By carefully planning crop patterns and grazing, this approach not only increases water retention and productivity but also significantly reduces the loss of fertile soil due to erosion.

Open registrations for two sessions

The seminar comprises two sessions:
Saturday, February 1 and Saturday, February 8.

Participants can choose to attend one or both sessions. The registration fee is heavily subsidized and includes lunch.

This is a valuable opportunity to explore new approaches to sustainable food production and to engage in meaningful discussions with fellow attendees throughout the day.

Please note: The seminar will only be held in person.
