Via Menorca’s programme of excursions to learn about emblematic aggressions that have been carried out on the island begins this coming Saturday. It will be a walk that combines landscape, campaign activities and information on the damage that has taken place recently.
With little difficulty (only two climbs on the Camí de Cavalls), it will start at 10 a.m. and finish around 1:30 p.m. To organise logistics properly, you must register through this form. When signing up, you will find the rest of the details.
The initiative adopts the philosophy and symbolism of a hiking group, the G.E.D.E.T., the Excursionist Group for the Detection of Territorial Messes.
True to the style of Via Menorca, this new action will include participatory and fun activities, but with content, and it will be the people who attend who will together create the message that will be conveyed to the rest of society.
The Excursionist Group for the Detection of Territorial Messes will have different thematic sections. The sections, instead of being the classic hiking, mountain, canyoning or trekking, will group together “messes” that will allow us to specialise in the techniques and knowledge needed for each type of adventure. This first Section will be specialised in Swimming Pools.
The walk will take place in the area of Alaior. For those who prefer not to return on foot once the activities have finished (between 1:30 and 2 p.m.), an optional bus service is available (5 euros). Likewise, anyone who has any kind of difficulty completing the whole excursion can contact the GOB office (971350762) and alternatives will be offered.
Help us spread the word, so more people sign up for this action in defence of Menorca’s territory. Share this information with your friends.
