With the aim of promoting environmental learning through leisure and inspiring a commitment to nature among younger generations, GOB Menorca is launching a nature group for children and teens aged 6 to 15. This initiative will combine educational and fun activities in the outdoors through a monthly excursion.
Although we live in a Biosphere Reserve, many of our children lead predominantly urban lives and are increasingly disconnected from meaningful, sensory, and emotional experiences in nature. At GOB Menorca, we want to offer families an alternative to this reality, similar to our summer camps, but now available during the school year.
A proposal to reconnect with nature
On the last weekend of every month, the GOB’s kids and teens nature group will explore iconic natural sites across Menorca while participating in workshops, games, and outdoor activities. The goal is to foster a direct connection with the environment through fun and cooperative experiences.
The activities will take place during day-long excursions, running from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on the last Sunday of each month.
This new GOB Menorca initiative offers participants the chance to make new friends, feel part of an inclusive and active group, develop a love for nature, and discover the rich natural and cultural heritage of our island.
How to join?
For the four remaining outings this school year (February to May), the cost is €80 for families who are members of GOB Menorca and €100 for non-member families.
