On Tuesday a campaign to collect signatures, to present to Parliament, for an Act for the Welfare of Current and Future Generations of the Balearic Islands will be explained. It will be informative clarifying the reasons for and content of the Act and will take place on Tuesday 15 March in the GOB offices (Moli del Rei, Cami des Castell, 53, Maó) at 8 pm. Urban Agenda for Menorca: debate at the Ateneu

This evening, Thursday 3 March, will be the last of the round table discussions at the Ateneu concerned with projects applying for European Next Generation funding. Menorca has been designated as the pilot area for the Spanish Urban Agenda for the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda. Sustainability and Tourism. Next Generation Projects debate at the Ateneo

The fourth round table debate on projects that are hoping for European Next Generation funding will, this week, be on two sustainable tourism projects. They can be followed by attending at the Ateneu of Maó or on its youtube channel , this Thursday at 8 pm.

Tuto Saura will explain the Rebot project. Electric Llauts, and Àlex Billyra of Smart Demant. Intelligent Tourism. This will be followed by a debate between the attendees.

The great weight of tourism on our economy, with the corresponding social and environmental impact, forces us to reinvent ourselves constantly to be leaders in a tourist model based on sustainability.

This cycle of round table debates is organised by the Ateneu of Maó and GOB with the collaboration of Menorca Preservation. It aims to present and discuss projects that hope for European Next Generation funding. The last of these sessions will be on Thursday 3 March.

Fornells and avoidable impacts

GOB has worked and continues to work on reducing and controlling the impacts caused by the remodelling of the Port of Fornells. It has focussed on various features that in our opinion are very important at an environmental level. Allegations, resources, meetings and opinion notes have been used, but no time has been dedicated to the proposed project of a new building in the urban area because there were already so many people analysing this intervention.
