This Thursday, February 6, at 7:30 PM, the Ateneu de Maó will launch the round table series of discussions on Resilience to Climate Change with an opening session dedicated to agricultural resilience. The discussion will focus on addressing the challenges of drought and desertification.
The event will feature sector experts and an open Q&A session for attendees. Moderated by Jaume Verdaguer, president of the Ateneu de Maó, the session will include three key presentations:
- “Wool as a soil protection resource against drought” – by Raoul Ferrer, Agricultural Engineer.
- “Soil improvement and agroecological advisory” – by Axel Torrejón, Agricultural Engineer and Director of Rayën Soluciones Agronómicas.
- “Tackling Climate Change Through Agricultural Stewardship” – by Cristina Gomila, Biologist and GOB Menorca Technician.
This series of discussions is organized by Ateneu de Maó, Menorca Preservation, and GOB Menorca, with the support of Maó City Council and the Island Council of Menorca.
The goal of this initiative is to share knowledge and experiences that help tackle the effects of climate change and promote strategies for a more resilient society.
