This Thursday, 22 July, at 18.30, we are continuing with family activities at the Centre for Recuperation of Wild Animals. Notice the difference in the animal colours: there are those with some very striking tones and others more discrete. What role does the appearance of animals play in their lives and survival? We will find out through games. Remember that masks are obligatory when you attend this activity.
The language of colours is very important in the life of the animals. There are colours indicating that the animal is dangerous. Other spectacular designs are to allow the female to select the best male. By contrast, many animals have colours that camouflage them for going past predators unnoticed. It is also curious how many birds have different colouring depending on whether it is winter or summer. There is a world to discover on Thursday at the Recuperation Centre for Wild Animals.
The Hospital of Wild Animals is based in the Pedreres de s’Hostal de Lithica (Lithica Quarries). The visit also includes a visit to this marvellous recuperated area. The prices of entry are: 12 year olds free, people over 65 cost 4 euros, others 8 euros. There is a discount for residents: over 65 will cost 3 euros, others 6 euros. The entrance to the Lithica Quarries is on the Camí Vell de Ciutadella km 1.
Your visit will help to improve our work. We look forward to seeing you.
