The Consell Insular and GOB are organising an excursion on foot for Sunday 5 May. It will go along old roads at the eastern end of the island and it will visit the archaeological site of Torelló, Mahon.
The talayot at Torelló is the most monumental one on the island and even has a well preserved doorway and the remains of a room usually made in the upper part of these constructions. The site includes a second talayot, the remains of a prehistoric house, a system for collecting water and other points of interest. The visit will be with an archaeological guide.
Booking is not required. People interested should meet at 9.30 am at the Plaza Biosfera of Mahon. The walk will start at 10.00 am. It will be an easy level of walking. Return by foot to the departure point. It is expected to finish about 13.30.
