A Step Forward for the Menorca Agroecological Alliance: Collaborative project workshop

The Alliance for Agroecology in Menorca is organising a Project Definition Workshop next Thursday, 19 February, at CentreBit Menorca (Av. des Camp Verd, 4, in Alaior), with the aim of opening up the participatory process launched a year ago and bringing new people and organisations into the transformation of Menorca’s agricultural sector towards a more sustainable, fair and territory-rooted model.

After a first year of work driven by a small core group, the Alliance wants to take a step forward and broaden the project’s social base. Promoting the agroecological transition — which links agricultural production and nature conservation — is a collective challenge that requires everyone’s involvement.

Excursion to Son Blanc Nou, Saturday, October 26

With the arrival of autumn, the land stewardship excursions are back! We kick off the season with a visit to one of the newest additions to GOB’s Custòdia Agrària program: Son Blanc Nou, a farm known for its circular model, aiming to produce all the resources it consumes. Participants will have the chance to explore the farm and learn about its agricultural management, followed by a tasting of local products.

“Landscape on a Plate: Flavors and Values of Agrarian Stewardship” at the Arrels Fair

This is the title of the guided tasting event we will be hosting on Sunday, September 22nd, at 1:30 PM, at the Arrels Fair, which this year will take place at the Es Mercadal Fairgrounds. During the event, we will present a special menu that embodies the values of Menorca’s mosaic landscape through a series of dishes created and presented by Pep Pelfort, from the Menorca Gastronomic Studies Center.
