On Sunday 24 April, GOB is organizing a concert with the Swing Crusaders group and a demonstration of Lindy Hop Dancing at 12 noon in the Plaza Real of Mahon. It is to celebrate 5 years of the AgroMaó market which promotes products from ecologically sustainable farms that maintain the countryside and biodiversity of Menorca and are a part of the Agricultural Land Stewardship Scheme.

The AgroMaó venture started in April 201 and is a farmer´s market in the Plaza Real (in front of American Bar). This is for farms that endorse good farming practices with a Land Stewardship agreement, and a certificate of ecological farming given by CARB. In the last five years, the market has become established and is a must each Sunday for many people who have become accustomed to have products from nearby, ecologically responsible, farms.

In addition, each week from this Sunday until June, a basket will be raffled for the shoppers of AgroMaó. On Sunday, we will raffle a painted basket, bought from the Sango’s shop in the Mercat del Claustre.

This event is part of the Land Stewardship Scheme supported by the Consell Insular of Menorca and the Mahon Town Council.
