The naveta of Cala Blanca and the Sepulchre of Son Olivaret will be the ancient monuments visited on the excursion to take place next Sunday, 15 January. It is organised jointly by the Consell Insular and GOB and marks the Sant Antoni Fiesta.

On this occasion there is no need to make a reservation. Interested people should gather at the entrance of the Cala Blanca urbanisation at 9.30 to leave from there at 10 am. There will be a tasting of different local products. The return to the starting point will be by bus (free).

For people coming from the east of the island, it would be a good idea to meet at 8.30 at the Polideportivo car park in Mahon in order to share vehicles.

This is a good opportunity to visit the archaeological site around Son Olivaret as it is generally closed to the public because it is in a military zone. The sepulchre is from 1,600 BC and the excavations have found various objects of interest.
