Water is one of the environmental resources which needs to have public investment made with the utmost urgency and which has not seemed feasible until now. Also, the management of waste presents many problems as does the near total dependence on fossil fuels whose contaminated emssions are at a much higher level than the maximum allowed internationally. Last Sunday was a perfect day for an excursion organised as part of the Sant Antoni festival by the Department of Culture of the Island Council in conjunction with GOB. Menorca on foot, next sunday
Sunday 10 January, walking from Cala en Porter to the megalithic tomb of Ses Roques Lises, considered the most ancient construction in Menorca and one of the best conserved in the Balearics. The walk will also visit Na Comerma de Sa Garita. This is organized in conjuction with the Cultural Department of the Consell Insular, to mark the start of the Sant Antoni festivities.
