Activities on environmental education in infant schools in Menorca will benefit from an agreement signed by the Menorca Preservation Fund and GOB. Next Sunday, 18 November, we have organised an excursion, open to the public, to learn about plants from the Camí des Pou Vell. The walk will go around Es Migjorn, in an area of gardens, which has also, some ethnological interest. A year on and the volunteers of the Centre for the Recuperation of Wild Animals have had some training on the handling and the first assistance to give to wild animals suffering from an accident. The volunteers are essential to the day to day running of the Centre. Thanks to their commitment and altruistic dedication of the individual volunteers the Centre helps more than 1000 animals a year. It will be along different paths to the Castellàs de Caparrot de Forma, in Mahon which makes a large defensive wall isolating a coastal isthmus where there are, also, remains of habitation.
