Friday 24 September: song for the climate

In relation to the international conference on climate change, Menorca has organised an event for people to participate in singing and in the reading of a manifesto. This will be on Friday 24 September at 19.00 in the patio area at the back of Sant Francesc in Mahon with the music of Bella Ciao, with lyrics adapted for the Island. Menorca already exceeds its available boating capacity

The General Plan of the Balearic Ports has been accompanied by an obligatory study for the available boating capacity in Menorca. The resulting figures have surpassed reality for some years. The data, available at an official level, ought to make port managers and companies with nautical links rethink their activities. Fewer people require an all-inclusive holiday at a hotel with swimming pool, now there are more who come independently wanting to go to the coves, squares and restaurants. This Thursday, the last family workshop at the Centre for Recuperation of Wild Animals

The last family workshop for this summer at the Centre for Recuperation of Wild Animals will take place on Thursday 2 September from 18.30. We will get to know the story of the iguana, the American and African turtles and other exotic animals that live in our hospital. How have they arrived here? We will learn through play, things about these animals and the problems these invasive species pose on our native species. Family Workshops at the Wild Life Recuperation Centre

This Thursday, 26 August, from 18.30 we are continuing with activities for all the family at the Centre for Recuperation of Wild Animals. This time we will concentrate on how to discover what birds eat and analyse the uneaten parts that they cannot digest.  You can paint T-shirts, if you wear them, here.
